Case

Employer’s Guardian successfully set up and implemented a Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) connection to our client’s IP address for specific end users to receive and use automatically. This solution allowed the client’s financial team to receive timely, current critical data while minimizing manual processes and eliminating security permissions changes and access concerns.

The client’s finance team needed a way to extract daily labor cost data for analysis and reporting to leadership. Access to this information could not expose sensitive information contained in payroll beyond the data required. Having the payroll department run the reports would be cumbersome and time-consuming. The client reached out to EGPayroll for help.

The EGPayroll team proposed setting up a Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) connection. A special SFTP connection was established and set up for a specific report consisting of desired data and parameters to be automatically sent securely at midnight daily to their dedicated and secure IP address from EGPayroll. Our client’s finance team could easily retrieve the report and data without exposure to sensitive information or waiting on payroll each day.
